Cancellations & Commitments

Each booking reserves a dedicated spot in our home. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks (or 6 during holidays) before the stay are non-refundable, as we often turn away other families for that space.

Liability & Insurance

Owners remain legally responsible for their dog’s behaviour and any damage caused. We’re fully insured and recommend every owner has personal liability coverage that includes pets.

Emergency Preparedness

Leave an emergency contact so we can act quickly and responsibly if travel plans change or urgent care is needed.

Please note that availability on the website does not guarantee a spot — all bookings are reviewed personally. Your reservation is only confirmed once we’ve personally approved it and received your 30% deposit. We work strictly on a first-come, first-served basis to keep things fair for everyone.

We welcome all types of dogs — from puppies to seniors, rescues to confident explorers. However, we cannot accept dogs who show aggressive, destructive, or unsafe behaviour that may cause harm or damage.If your puppy is not yet house-trained, a small €5 daily cleaning surcharge applies. All dogs must arrive healthy, vaccinated, and up to date on flea, tick, and worm prevention. We reserve the right to end a stay early if a dog’s behaviour becomes unsafe or unsuitable for our home environment.

A 30% deposit secures your spot. Deposits are refundable up to 6 weeks before holiday periods and 4 weeks before all other stays, minus a €15 admin fee. After these timeframes, deposits become non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the stay begins. Early departures or shortened stays are non-refundable, as each booking blocks a dedicated spot for your dog.

Our dog boarding is charged per night and covers a 24-hour period from drop-off. Check-in and check-out times are flexible, but if pick-up exceeds the 24-hour window for short stays (under 5 nights), a late check-out fee may apply. We always do our best to accommodate schedule changes, delays, or emergencies depending on our availability.

We offer an optional pick-up and drop-off transport service for boarding guests.
This service is not always guaranteed and depends on our availability, vehicle capacity, and your dog’s size and temperament. For everyone’s safety and comfort, we can only transport dogs who are calm and comfortable in the car and unlikely to cause damage or distress. Any damage caused to the vehicle by a dog remains the owner’s financial responsibility.
We always do our best to accommodate requests, but as a small, home-based service, transport availability is confirmed on a case-by-case basis.

We host a very limited number of dogs — ideally just one. However, due to high demand from returning families, we may occasionally welcome an additional compatible guest. Dogs are fully supervised when socialised together, and if not directly supervised, each dog has a safe, separate space for rest and comfort. We cannot always guarantee that your dog will be fully alone during their stay, but we always plan carefully based on each dog’s temperament and comfort level.

If your dog becomes unwell, we will immediately contact you or your emergency contact. If we cannot reach anyone and urgent care is needed, we will take your dog to your vet (if nearby) or to a trusted local clinic and act in their best interest. All veterinary or medical costs remain the owner’s responsibility.

We take every reasonable measure to ensure your dog’s safety and well-being, but: We cannot guarantee specific outcomes or behaviours, as every dog reacts differently to new environments. We cannot be held liable for pre-existing conditions, undisclosed behavioural issues, or natural incidents (for example, minor injuries or scratches that may occur during normal play, walks, or rest). Owners remain fully and legally responsible for their dog and any injury, damage, or loss caused to persons, property, or other animals — during or after their stay — unless proven to result directly from our gross negligence. Paw Suite Haarlem is not responsible for incidents caused by third parties, such as transport providers or veterinary clinics, unless arranged directly by us. We are not responsible for personal items left with your dog (beds, toys, accessories, etc.). We hold professional liability insurance, offering additional reassurance in the rare event of accidental damage or injury.

We love keeping you connected while your dog is here. You’ll receive regular updates with photos and short messages — typically 1–2 per day. We may not always be instantly reachable, but we always reply as soon as possible, with your dog’s care coming first.

By booking with us, you consent to the use of your dog’s name or photo for social media and marketing purposes, unless you opt out in writing before the stay begins. We always share content respectfully and never include personal information.

By confirming your booking and paying the deposit, you agree to these key terms and acknowledge that you’ve read and understood our full Care Agreement.
