Welcome to our home-based dog care service. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. We want to be fully transparent while also showing you exactly how much we care.

We treat every dog that stays with us as if they were our own. That means love, structure, safety, and comfort—always. We’re not a kennel or facility, but a calm, dog-loving household offering boutique care, tailored to each pup’s personality and needs.

🐶 Scope of Services

We currently offer dog boarding, daycare, dog walking, home visits, and house sitting. All services are tailored to your dog’s routine, temperament, and care needs. Below is an overview of what’s included in each:

  • Dog Boarding: Overnight care in our calm, dog-friendly home. Boarding is charged per 24-hour period. Transfers (pick-up/drop-off) are not included, but may be arranged upon request for an additional fee.
  • Daycare: Care during the day in our home, usually lasting up to 8 hours. Small schedule extensions are often possible. Special requests (e.g. early drop-off, late pick-up) may incur a small surcharge, depending on availability. Transport is available upon request for an added fee.
  • Dog Walking: Walks last 30–45 minutes and include pick-up and drop-off at your home. These are one-on-one walks unless social walking is previously approved.
  • Home Visits: A 30-minute stop-in at your home for feeding, potty breaks, or basic care. Tailored to your dog’s needs and routine.
  • House Sitting: Extended, in-home care of your dog in your house. Charged per hour and includes companionship, feeding, walks, and routines—just as if you were home yourself.

šŸ’› Our Commitment

When your dog stays with us, we promise to provide a safe, indoor sleeping area; serve food according to your dog’s routine; give appropriate exercise; administer oral medications and supplements as instructed; ensure access to clean water and shaded outdoor time; and most importantly, offer affection, companionship, and attentive care. Dogs are never left alone for extended periods, and any special requests agreed upon before the stay will be honored.

Bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed before you make travel arrangements. A meet & greet is required for first-time bookings. Drop-off and pick-up times are flexible, but special agreements may incur a small surcharge depending on availability.

āœ… Acceptance Criteria

We welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes, provided they are well-socialized and safe in a home setting. Please share any allergies, triggers, or behavioral quirks in advance so we can create the right environment.

šŸ’³ Payment Policy

For dog boarding and in-house care, once you confirm your booking with us, we’ll provide a detailed cost overview. To secure your spot, we ask for a 30% deposit of the total amount. This helps us keep our limited spaces available for families who genuinely need them. Once the deposit is paid, your booking is secured. We will invoice the remaining balance 7 days before the start of the stay, and it must be paid before arrival.

For all other services (daycare & walking), no deposit is required. We’ll send an invoice one day prior to the service start, and payment is due before the service begins.

We accept payment via payment link, bank transfer, or cash. Please note we do not charge VAT as we fall under the KOR (small business scheme).

Special rates:

  • During high season, dog boarding stays shorter than 7 nights incur a €5 per night surcharge.
  • When two dogs from the same household stay together for boarding, the second dog stays for a flat rate of €20.

šŸ—“ Cancellation Policy for dog boarding

We understand that plans can change, but as a small-scale service, cancellations can have a big impact—not only on us, but also on other pet owners who rely on our availability. We kindly ask you to let us know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or adjust your booking.

Cancellations made at least four weeks in advance qualify for a full refund of the deposit. For bookings during school or public holidays, we require six weeks’ notice. No refunds are given for cancellations made after these timeframes.

Because we have limited spaces, every booking matters—not just to us, but to the many families who rely on our services. If it appears that a booking was made without genuine intent—such as being kept as a ā€œjust in caseā€ option—we may need to prioritise future reservations for those ready to commit. We truly appreciate your understanding, as this helps us be fair and available to those who need us most.

ā° Service Duration & Check-Out Policy

Our dog boarding service is priced per 24-hour period. For stays under seven nights, if the pick-up time exceeds the 24-hour window by more than 4 hours, a late check-out fee of 50% of the nightly rate may apply, and if it exceeds more than 8 hours, a fee of 100% of the nightly rate may apply.

Example:
Dropped off Friday at 11 AM → Picked up Sunday at 4 PM → Late check-out fee applies.
Dropped off Friday at 11 AM → Picked up the next Sunday at 9 PM → No fee.

Exceptions will be made for delayed flights or emergencies.

For dog daycare, the service duration is up to 8 hours during the day. If you require longer care or late hours, feel free to contact us in advance for special arrangements.

āŒ› Extended Stay Due to Unforeseen Events

If you’re unable to pick up your dog at the agreed time due to unforeseen circumstances—like flight delays, cancellations, illness, or road closures—please rest assured that your dog will continue to receive loving care and supervision from us. We’ll keep your dog safe here, bring them to your designated emergency contact, or help arrange suitable alternative care until you’re able to collect them. Any extra services, extended stays, or additional costs will be charged accordingly.

Because we’re a small, close-knit service, there may be times when another dog with specific needs or behavior arrives right after your dog’s stay. In such cases, it can be difficult for us to provide the best care for everyone’s safety and comfort. That’s why it’s always helpful to have an emergency plan—such as leaving house keys with someone you trust—so we can bring your dog home if needed.

We kindly ask for understanding and empathy among all our dog owners. If a previous guest couldn’t be picked up on time, please remember you might one day be in the same situation. We’re here to support you and your dog with care and open communication every step of the way.

🩺 Dog Health & Safety

Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations (including kennel cough), flea/tick prevention, and deworming. We reserve the right to refuse bookings that do not meet these standards.

Please disclose any medical conditions, behavior issues, or special needs prior to the stay. While we’re happy to administer oral medications, we cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions unless due to negligence.

By law, dog owners remain fully and legally responsible for their dog at all times. Using our dog sitting services does not remove or reduce this legal responsibility. You are also responsible for any damage your dog may cause, unless it is directly caused by our negligence. While we take every reasonable precaution, we cannot be held liable for pre-existing medical conditions, undisclosed behavioral issues, or unforeseen accidents.

We take full responsibility for your dog’s safety and well-being while they are in our care, handling every situation with professionalism and compassion. In the rare event that an issue arises due to our actions, our liability is limited to the total value of the booked service. Please notify us of any concerns or damages within 7 days of your dog’s stay. For your added peace of mind, our services are protected by professional liability insurance, providing an extra layer of security against accidental damage or incidents during your dog’s visit. While we do everything possible to prevent problems, this coverage reflects our commitment to accountability and your dog’s best interests.

In case of illness or emergency during your dog’s stay, we will always contact you or your designated emergency contact first. If we are unable to reach anyone, we will act in your dog’s best interest—including seeking veterinary care. All veterinary and medical costs are the responsibility of the owner.

🐾 Our Approach to Solo & Social Stays

We provide calm, one-on-one care by hosting a very limited number of dogs at a time—preferably just one, due to our setup and space. This allows us to offer personalized attention in a quiet, low-stimulation environment that feels safe and home-like.

However, due to growing interest from dog owners who value gentle social interaction—as well as practical booking logistics—we’ve slightly adapted our approach to allow for limited overlap between dogs, but only under specific conditions.

We may accept a second dog from a different household during short check-in/check-out overlaps, but only if:

  • Both dogs are temperamentally compatible
  • Their brief coexistence does not impact the quality of care
  • The dogs are always supervised — we never leave dogs from different households alone together

We don’t allow long overlapping stays unless you’ve specifically told us your dog is comfortable with gentle company. If you prefer a solo stay, just let us know when booking—we’ll accommodate that wherever possible. We work on a first-come, first-served basis: if you book your dates first and request a solo stay, your dog will be our only overnight guest during that time. 

Please note: For daycare and short stays (under 5 nights), we may not be able to guarantee a completely solo stay — but we’ll do our best to minimize any overlap if that’s important to you.

🧳 Owner Responsibilities

Please bring all required items including food, leash, collar or harness, medications, and any bedding or comfort items your dog may need. Share care instructions during booking or the meet & greet. Your dog should arrive in good health and up to date on all treatments.

🚨 Emergencies

We’ll always try to reach you or your emergency contact first in case of medical issues. If urgent care is needed and we can’t reach anyone, we’ll visit your preferred vet or a local clinic and act in your dog’s best interest. By booking with us, you authorize us to seek veterinary attention on your behalf without prior consent if we can’t reach you in an emergency case. Veterinary bills are the owner’s responsibility.

āŒ Right to Refuse or Cancel Care

In cases of undisclosed aggression or serious behavioral issues that present a safety risk, we reserve the right to end care immediately, and no refund will be issued.

We reserve the right to decline or end care if your dog shows aggression, is in poor health, or if vital care information was not disclosed. Our home must remain a peaceful and safe space—for us, your dog, and any others in our care.

We send regular updates with photos and texts during your dog’s stay. You’re welcome to check in with us anytime—we know how much your dog means to you.

We store your data only to manage bookings and communicate with you. Photos taken of your dog may be used for social media or our website—please let us know if you prefer otherwise.

āš–ļø Legal Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law. In the unlikely event of a dispute, we will always aim to resolve the matter calmly, fairly, and directly together. Should a legal process be necessary, the responsible court in Haarlem, the Netherlands will have jurisdiction.
