We are Melisa & Emre: a dog-loving duo
It’s just the two of us — dog-loving humans sharing our home and our hearts with furry guests who deserve gentle, one-on-one care in a calm, cozy space.

Paw Suite Haarlem isn’t just a business — it’s our way of sharing a peaceful, loving space with dogs who deserve to feel truly at home while you’re away. We work from home every day, so we are always close by to offer company, cuddles, and support. Your pup becomes part of our daily routine, with calm mornings, gentle walks, cozy evenings, and plenty of time for play and rest. There are no crowded packs or rotating staff, just familiar faces and steady, heart-led care.
Melisa & Emre
Meet Melisa
Hi, I’m Melisa—dog lover, home-office worker, and the heart behind Paw Suite Haarlem.
Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Germany, I was always surrounded by loyal, tail-wagging companions who joined me on countless adventures—rain or shine. My own tiny chihuahua brought endless joy (and more than a little sass) into our home, teaching me that every dog, big or small, has a unique spirit and a deep need to belong.
Moving abroad made me realize just how much that bond with animals means. I missed not only their presence and love, but the sense of calm and comfort that comes from a happy dog resting at your feet. That’s why I opened my home—to give your dog the same sense of belonging, safety, and happiness I grew up with.
Meet Emre
Hi, I’m Emre—co-founder of Paw Suite Haarlem, and a lifelong dog protector at heart.
I grew up in Istanbul, where stray dogs live freely in the streets, often without anyone to care for them. But to us, they were part of the neighborhood. From a young age, I felt a strong responsibility to protect them. I wasn’t told to—I just couldn’t walk past a hungry or scared dog without doing something. I would feed them, check on their health, and make sure they were safe from cars, people, or other dangers. Over time, I had a small “pack” I cared for—dogs who knew I was there for them, and who trusted me in return.
When I moved to the Netherlands, I knew I wanted to keep that connection alive. That’s how our home-based dog boarding started. Now, giving dogs a safe, calm home while their families are away is more than just a service. It’s a way of life. And for me, it’s a continuation of something I’ve always believed in: dogs deserve dignity, trust, and love—no matter where they come from.
Our Experience
Every dog is different, and every stay is personal.
We’ve cared for shy rescues, bouncy puppies, and stately seniors of every size and breed—from tiny toy poodles to gentle giants like Cane Corsos and German Shepherds. We know how to support anxious dogs in need of patience and structure and can provide the extra comfort first-timers (or rescue dogs) need when they’re feeling unsure.
We’re happy to stick to your dog’s unique schedule—special diets, medications, enrichment routines, and training cues are all part of our daily care. No request is too small if it helps your dog feel happy and secure.
Most of all, we do this because we truly love it. There’s nothing better than seeing a nervous dog relax, a senior guest enjoying a sunny nap, or a puppy mastering a new trick. We take our responsibility for your dog’s wellbeing seriously—and always care for them as if they were our own.
